.NAME Domains
Set up in 2001, the Dot NAME gTLD is the only one meant for personal web pages only. These domain names can include personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other labels people are known by. Initially, solely third-level registrations were possible, so if you planned to order john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Already registered third-level domains remained active.
Through our company, you can secure your .NAME domain for an interval between one and ten years. You will be able to alter the WHOIS contact info, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an existing domain to our firm if you take its EPP transfer code from the present registration service provider and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been done. There are no specific conditions on who can acquire a dot NAME domain name, but in order to maintain the goal behind its establishment alive, the Registry may check who the owner is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain, the registration might be challenged.
The .NAME top-level domain is among the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no further cost. In this way, your dot NAME domain will be recognized in your country or area with the right spelling in your local language.
