A catch-all email mailbox receives messages sent to non-existent addresses under the same domain. For instance, an email sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. Thus, you can receive email messages from buddies or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling mistake or to an outdated one, which they may still have, but you have already deleted. Just one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at some moment you may start receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be re-sent to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Website Hosting

If you’ve got a shared website hosting with us and you’d like to activate the catch-all option for a certain e-mailbox that you have in the account, it will take literally just one click of the mouse in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel to achieve this. A catch-all button is available to the right of each and every email address that you have set up under any domain registered in the account. You can select one email address per domain by clicking the respective button. This will activate the feature instantaneously, so all emails sent to mistyped email addresses will be received there. Clicking the button again will turn off the catch-all feature. In case you have active email forwarding, our system will exhibit a cautionary note and you won’t be able to enable the catch-all feature until you remove the forwarding or you can simply pick a different mailbox to be the catch-all one.
